Start the New Year with a race around a picturesque lake with the Snowdon horseshoe towering around you.
Introduction
A sweet low-key event & a great way to kick off the New Year. The route starts and finishes at Pen-y-Pass, a busy place, so for a chance of solitude (and parking) arrive early.

Fast running on the well-laid Miners Track contrasts with tussock, slippery rocks and boulder fields as you circumnavigate the lake. An excellent exercise in managing frustration. Don't give up when you reach the final loop around the NE side of the lake. The race runs clockwise.
